Powder Brows

FAQs

What are powder brows?

Powder brows is a semi-permanent cosmetic makeup technique aimed at achieving soft, powder-like eyebrows, closely resembling powdered makeup. The process involves a shading technique using permanent makeup ink and a device similar to a tattoo machine.

What should I do to prepare for my treatment?

To achieve the best results for your procedure, please observe the following guidelines:

  • You must be off Accutane or prescribed acne medications for at least 1 year.

  • Avoid Aspirin, Fish Oil, Niacin, Vitamin E, and Ibuprofen for 72 hours before the procedure; Tylenol is acceptable. **Please consult your physician first.

  • Skip coffee, alcohol, and energizing drinks the day before and the day of the procedure to minimize oozing, bleeding, or swelling.

  • If you typically tint your brows, do so at least one week prior.

  • Avoid tanning or sunbathing 30 days before and after the procedure.

  • If you wax or thread your eyebrows, do this at least 72 hours before the scheduled procedure. It's recommended to wait at least 14 days for waxing or threading and 30 days for tinting after the procedure.

  • Finally, please wash your hair before the procedure.

What does aftercare look like?

  • Avoid direct contact with water, the ocean, pools, sweat, or other liquids for 10-14 days after the treatment.

  • Refrain from sweating, including gym, yoga, and swimming, for the first 10 days.

  • Do NOT pick your brows, as it can affect color retention.

  • Avoid makeup on the brows for 10-14 days or until brows have fully shed naturally.

  • After 10 days or full shedding, use a gentle soap or non-greasy facial cleanser to maintain cleanliness.

  • Avoid using ointments, creams with vitamins, or antibiotics on your eyebrows during the healing process.

  • No sunbathing or tanning for 4 weeks, avoiding direct sun exposure.

  • Avoid Retinols, AHA's, exfoliating treatments, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, botox, or other strong treatments for 6-8 weeks after the procedure.

  • Smoking can cause premature pigment fading and reduce the longevity of anesthetics.
